For Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, one of the first things I worked on while still on the Environment Art team was Greez's cantina, Pyloon's Saloon. This assignment was a blast. Was tasked for coming up with the designer blockout/layout and show casing them to all the directors. We had multiple meetings until we landed on the right feel. From there George over on Concept began a paintover and we started rolling.
My responsibilities varied from modeling modular elements, making tileables, building props, set dressing/world building, managing outsourcing, managing a small strike team to bring in all the final touches, provide feedback and art direction, work with other departments to make sure the vision stayed true and finally optimizations + bug fixes.
It was a massive learning experience and ironically was also one of the last things I worked on as well. So this environment bookended by time on Jedi Survivor.
